Join RMT’s Andrea and Laura to learn how to give an effective and safe massage. This workshop is designed for partners, caregivers, and anyone interested in developing a caring, helpful touch to alleviate pain and tension. Techniques will be taught without the use of a massage table - we’ll use chairs, pillows, bolsters and work both seated and on the floor.

Schedule of events
-Understanding and developing a therapeutic touch
-Seated shoulder and neck work
-Seated back work
-Arm, hand, leg and foot work from both a seated and floor position
-Neck work from the floor

*a 30 minute lunch break is included in the schedule

What’s provided: handouts, massage lotion to take home, bolsters, and light snacks

What to bring: 1 or 2 pillows with pillow cases, yoga mat, water bottle, lunch

What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move and bend in (yoga or track style pants, t-shirt or tank top). Jeans and thicker materials are not suggested as we will work both on the skin and through clothing. Dress in layers.
